mPOP & mPE

mPOP Metallocene POP (PolyOlefin Plastomer) & mPE Metallocene PE

For the first time in Korea, DL Chemical developed its Metallocene catalyst technology independently and commercialized Metallocene polyethylene products. We have launched the following series of 1st generation Metallocene products:

 

  • VL series – Metallocene POP (PolyOlefin Plastomer) is a high performance polyolefin plastomer suitable for a wide range of applications, such as films, plastic modification, foaming, etc.
  • XP series – Metallocene PE is used for various films and PE-RT (Polyethylene Raised Temperature resistance pipe).

 

The VL & XP series have a uniform comonomer distribution and narrow molecular weight distribution, making them different from general polyethylene products in terms of their mechanical and optical properties.

Product Portfolio

POP (VL Series)

POP is a lower density product than regular mLLDPE. It can improve toughness, sealing performance, transparency, and also helps downgauging. D.XPOLY POP products are applied to various uses, such as high-speed packaging FFS, protective film, sheet, plastic impact modifier, foam, etc.

mLLDPE (XP Series)

When applied to film applications, the product quality can be enhanced because the toughness is greatly improved, SIT(Sealing initial temperature) can be lowered, and its transparency is high.

PE-RT (XP Series)

PE-RT products are widely used for heating and hot water piping. D.XPOLY provides excellent mechanical properties, Processability, and constructability and is suitable for long-term use.

Key Value & Properties

Good Mechanical Properties

DL Chemical POP has good balance between stiffness and impact strength, especially exhibits superior mechanical properties when blended with POE.

Good Dimensional Stability

Due to lower shrinkage rate, DL Chemical POP provides good dimensional stability for end-products, resulting in good appearance and being fitted well with other parts when assembling.

Excellent Scratch Resistance

POP has a hardness higher than POE, and thus PP compound with POP has excellent scratch resistance.
